Excerpt: "If all families were able to put their children into early education programs at the same rate as affluent families enrol their young, the participation rate countrywide would rise by more than 30 per cent. Canadian research estimates that adult earnings boosted by pre-school would add 2.2 per cent to the country’s GDP. That may not sound like a lot, but it's the equivalent to adding $8 billion to the lifetime earnings of the next generation."
