The Lunenburg Day Care Centre is receiving about $4.5 million to help it expand, allowing for 77 new child-care spaces.
“The Lunenburg Day Care Centre has been a valued part of this community since 1973, supporting generations of children and families,” said Susan Corkum-Greek, Minister of Opportunities and Social Development and MLA for Lunenburg, on behalf of Brendan Maguire, Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development. “This expansion builds on that strong foundation, creating more opportunities for children to learn and grow in a supportive, inclusive environment through play, exploration and creativity. Investments like this are helping ensure more Nova Scotia families can access the high-quality child care they need to live, work and thrive in their communities.”"
