Jimmy Pratt Foundation
The Jimmy Pratt Foundation, in partnership with the Wallace and Margaret McCain Family Foundation Inc., has been endeavouring to identify the ideal environment through a series of public discussions over the last year.
In October 2013, the two groups released a discussion paper, The Early Years Last a Lifetime, based on emerging research and existing models of care in Canada to help fuel public discussion in Newfoundland and Labrador on quality early childhood learning. The paper informed a year-long series of workshops and discussions on early learning and care in NL – where we stand currently and what needs to be done to help us reach the national standard.
